Cornerstone Orchards produces this historic Apple Cider Syrup. Largely used as a sweetener during the Civil War, it lost its popularity after Prohibition. Today it is used for glazes, as a sweetener, in yogurt or oatmeal, and with a couple teaspoons in hot water it makes hot apple cider.

The 160 acre Cornerstone Orchards, located in Youngstown, NY, produces 20,000 bushels of apples annually. Owners Bryan and Caitlin LoVullo took over the farm, previously owned and operated for five generations by the Tower family, in 2019. The LoVullo's commitment to sustainable practices and traditions will bring great N.Y. state fruit, including apricots, peaches, pears and apples to local communities for decades to come.
