Coffee, Tipico Honduras Jorge Portillo Natural
The natural process method used the sun to dry the coffee cherry before removal, which often imparts expressive fruit flavors and a balanced yet funky earthiness. Fruity, funky and flavorful, this natural is unlike any other coffee on our menu fit for the most adventurous of coffee drinkers!
Jorge Portillo learned the art of farming from his father and grandfather in the 1990s. Around 7 years ago he banded with his brothers to plant a new farm, Finca Las Rocas. There he grows Pacas, Bourbon, and Parainema varieties. This particular coffee is strictly Parainema variety, a unique flavor profile coffee that is rust resistant and has characteristically large beans. This means that the variety is good for growers and consumers alike.
Finca Las Rocas is located on the Santa Barbara mountain in the village of El Cielito where hundreds of farmers grow alongside Portillo.
