Jorge Portillo learned the art of farming from his father and grandfather in the 1990s. Around 8 years ago he banded with his brothers to plant a new farm, Finca Las Rocas. There he grows Pacas, Bourbon, and Parainema varieties. This particular coffee is strictly Parainema variety, a unique flavor profile coffee that is rust resistant and has characteristically large beans. This means that the variety is good for growers and consumers alike.
