Mumbo Sauce, Original (Gallon)
Buffalo and chicken wings go hand in hand. But there's only one true original sauce that started the entire Buffalo wing phenomenon. And that's John Young's Original Mumbo Sauce. Originally conceived in the early 1960s by John Young, renowned as the "King of the Wings," this sweet and tangy barbecue sauce holds a unique place in Buffalo history. Young was the owner of Wings N' Things, Buffalo's first wing shop, and during his day people lined up around the block for his "lip-smacking and liver-quivering" concoction.

John Young's Original
John Young's Original was founded by Lina Brown-Young, daughter of Buffalo's legendary Wing King, and tour operator Marc Moscato. Brought together by a 2020 WKBW news segment, the two launched a tour experience exploring the hidden history of Buffalo's chicken wings, with Lina serving her father's famous mumbo wings — a recipe unavailable for over two decades.
Their story quickly caught national attention through a New York Times comic, a Vice documentary, and features on Food Network and the History Channel. After three years of sharing his legacy through tours, Marc and Lina took their next step — bottling the sauce. Now, John Young's legendary mumbo sauce is available for everyone to enjoy at home. Bold, authentic, and timeless, every bottle is a tribute to the man who put Buffalo wings on the map.
